To help youth continue being outstanding members of our Community.

The Beachburg Agricultural Society has put together a Bursary program; to acknowledge and celebrate Youth Volunteers in our Community and in our Ag. Society.

Qualifications that will be considered for the Beachburg Ag. Society’s Bursary:

  • Only one (1) recipient per level, per year as qualifications are met.
  • Students must apply for bursary by filling out an application form and a log of their hours form.
  • The Log should be kept up  to date with the Secretary of the Society ( recipients should keep a copy for themselves of their logs too.)
  • Application must be signed by a BAS director.
  • Students must be completing and graduating from High School to be eligible.
  • In the event there are two (2) outstanding qualifiers for the same level, the BAS board will bring it to a vote to either split the bursary or award both candidates the full bursary after careful evaluation.
  • The BAS reserves the right to request an essay of no less then 700 words about “Agriculture where you see it in the future”. To further differentiate multiple candidates per level.

Level 1 – $500

  • 4 years of volunteer services at the Beachburg Fair.
  • 80 hours of volunteer services at the Fair.
  • Volunteered in 2 – 4 different areas of the Fair.
  • Become a member of a sub committee.
  • Joined as a Junior Director of the BAS.
  • Attended 1-2 BAS board meetings.
  • Conveys politeness, helpfulness, and is hardworking. Leads by example and upholds the values and code of conduct of the BAS to the Public and all BAS members.

Level 2 – $250

  • 2 years of volunteer services at the Beachburg Fair.
  • 60 hours of volunteer services at the Fair.
  • Volunteered in a minimum of 2 different areas of the Fair.
  • Conveys politeness, helpfulness, and is hardworking. Leads by example and upholds the values and code of conduct of the BAS to the Public and all BAS members.

Level 3 – $100

  • 35 – 40 hours of volunteer services at the Beachburg Fair.
  • Volunteered in a minimum of 2 different areas of the Fair.
  • Conveys politeness, helpfulness, and is hardworking. Leads by example and upholds the values and code of conduct of the BAS to the Public and all BAS members.

Applications can be found in a link here, as well as a volunteer log sheet. Highschool volunteer hour log sheets can be used as well. All applications and log sheets for final submission can be submitted to beachburgfair@gmail.com for consideration by June 1st.
