SUMMARY:Annual General Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Beachburg Agricultural Society invites everyone out to our Annual General Meeting taking place on Thursday November 21st from 7pm – 9pm at Beachburg Lions Hall (9 Hannah Street\, Beachburg). Light refreshments will be served. \nThe meeting is open to all – including BAS members\, volunteers\, the local community\, and anyone who may be interested in learning more about the incredible year we’ve had with the Beachburg Agricultural Society and Beachburg Fair. \nAttendees can expect to hear an annual report\, followed by a financial report and elections for our 2025 Board of Directors. \nMemberships can be purchased at the AGM or in advance by sending an e-transfer to beachburgfair@gmail.com. Memberships are $5 and our 2024 memberships can be purchased up until the closing of the AGM (after which\, any memberships purchased will be for the 2025 year and later). \nOur board is seeking a number of new directors and nominations are welcome! All nominees must have their memberships paid up for the 2023\, 2024 and 2025 fair years. SUMMARY:In the Know Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Farmers are on the front line in supporting mental health in agriculture. \nIn the Know is a FREE mental health literacy program designed specifically for farmers\, their families and those who are involved and/or support the agriculture sector. Through this free\, four-hour workshop\, participants will cover the topics of stress\, depression\, anxiety\, substance use and how to start a conversation around mental well-being.
