A gentler way to enjoy the fair.
Sunflower Hour is offered for families of neurodiverse children who would love to experience the fair with minimal noise and crowds. From 2–4 PM on opening day, the midway slows down so everyone can take it all in at their own pace.
The sunflower is the international symbol for hidden disabilities. During Sunflower Hour, families are welcomed for a relaxed window before the busiest part of the day. The experience is free to pre-registered families, and food is available for purchase from a selection of on-site vendors.
