General Rules

One entry per person in each section
Any containers or bottled goods will be opened by the Judge
Exhibits should be on a disposable plate, entry tag attached to the plate and in a clear plastic bag with ziploc or twist tie closing
Multiple items are to be from the same recipe (e.g. cookies, muffins, tarts)
All exhibits must be the produce of the exhibitor, made from scratch — no mixes
Culinary tip: Squares and cakes — squares should be clean cut with no outside edges
Culinary tip: Bread — Rolls are individual; buns are baked connected

Class 25 Baking Prizes: $10 / $8 / $6

Note All containers must be glass pint (500 ml) or half-pint (250 ml) jars, sealed with new lids

Note Tags to be tied on without decorations or coloured ribbons

Note Containers will be opened for judging

Class 27 OAAS Competitions

Note 1st place in each competition advances to District Competition (Fall), then OAAS Competition (February)

OAAS Butter Tart Competition

1. Four full-size butter tarts Must not contain fruit or nuts (no raisins, no pecans). Judging: 20% General Appearance · 40% Crust · 40% Filling. Prizes: $10 / $8 / $6

OAAS Junior Chocolate Chip Cookie Competition (youth up to age 15)

1. Four plain chocolate chip cookies on a plate in a bag with tag No nuts; 2″–2.5″ (5–6.5 cm) diameter. Judging: 25% General Appearance · 25% Internal Appearance & Texture · 50% Flavour. Prizes: $10 / $8 / $6
