The Fibrefest in Whitewater Region, hosted in the village of Beachburg on Sunday, September 14th, 2025, is a celebration of the fibre arts and a showcase of the rich talent and creativity of community groups.
Whether you are already a seasoned fibre artist or simply curious about this fascinating craft, the Fibrefest offers something for everyone. The event will feature interactive demonstrations where you can learn about various fibre arts techniques from experienced guild members. Watch as skilled artisans spin wool into yarn, create intricate tapestries, or transform fleece into felted masterpieces.
In addition to the demonstrations, there will be a Fibre Goods and Textile supply vendor show, where you can browse and purchase a wide array of high-quality materials and tools for your own projects. The Open Air Artisan Craft Market will showcase the work of talented local artisans, offering unique handmade items that are sure to inspire and delight. As you explore the festival grounds, you will also have the opportunity to witness fascinating agricultural demonstrations. Experience the threshing of flax and the shearing of fleece, gaining a deeper understanding of the origins of the materials used in fibre arts. Take a moment to get up and close with with alpacas, sheep, and goats!
