In the meantime, below is an example workshop that was held in 2025, to give potential participants an idea of what to expect.
2025 Workshop: Basket Weaving

Join local weaver Sharron Jansen for a hands-on workshop in traditional round cane basket weaving. Perfect for beginners and those with some experience, this workshop will guide participants through the fundamentals of basketry, from shaping the base to finishing the rim. All materials are provided, and students will leave with a finished (or nearly finished) basket and a strong foundation of skills to continue weaving on their own. A creative and relaxing introduction to this timeless craft.
